In an advisory, the embassy urged Filipinos to "remain calm, monitor news from credible sources, and heed the advice of local authorities." "Stay indoors and avoid public spaces unless absolutely necessary," the embassy added.

The Department of Foreign Affairs declined to comment on media query about the Philippine government's position on Israeli's attack.

"The information we have is in the statement, will provide update once we receive more information," the DFA said referring to the embassy's advisory.
